A young man named Alagie Jeng has allegedly impregnated his niece, the daughter of his elder brother, according to information obtained by What's On-Gambia.

A source close to the family revealed that the girl, who is between 13 and 14 years old, was taken to the hospital after her father noticed changes in her body. Medical tests confirmed she was pregnant.

The source further disclosed that the girl informed her parents that she was raped by Alagie. Despite the serious nature of the allegation, the family chose not to report the incident to the police.

The girl is now living with relatives in Jabang, while Alagie remains in Foni, continuing with his life as if nothing has happened. 

If the case is brought to court and he is found guilty, Alagie could spend the rest of his life in prison.
