It’s quite astonishing that she is already a multi-millionaire at the age of 23. Aisha Touray is now the most powerful woman in Gambian showbiz.
How did she acquire such a large sum of money in such a short period of time without any identifiable talent?
This is the question on many lips. Aisha left for the USA in 2011 before completing her senior secondary education.
In an interview with What’s On-Gambia, she vehemently denied rumours she is involved in drug peddling.
“I was raised right by my family and I'm proud of my upbringing,” she said, adding “I have been opportune to head various events and concerts with a percentage based ownership in revenues. This is my platform.”
“The events include fashion shows in long Island university. Which has been running for about two years now, the burning Dance in Howard Payne University, Texas which was been held weekly for two years. Various Organizations and university based events in USA.”
Aisha, who once dated reggae dancehall singer, Silky Criss disclosed she is the vice president of Young Progress Movement of America.
“I've lead several rallies in New York City that led to the re-opening of Long Island University campus after a 2 week lockdown.”
The young millionaire is behind the much-anticipated Mavado concert at the Independence Stadium. She’s expected to spend more than D3m on it.
