An Italian woman said her life nearly crumbled after she discovered that her husband has another wife in The Gambia. 

In a marathon message to What's On-Gambia, she wrote: "On the 9th of December, my husband left the house while I and our son were sleeping. He called me around lunchtime and said he was traveling to The Gambia.  I was shocked because we never discussed about it."

She continued: "I discovered he had another wife. They have a baby girl together. I am not angry, but I am sad for my son. He's not even two years old and now without a father."

According to her, she met her Gambian husband eight years ago in Italy.

"More than eight years together, seven years living together. All the plans, promises, projects - all broken into pieces."

When asked whether she gave her husband Italian papers, she responded: "No. He had papers before we met. Just recently he upgraded it because of the son. 

"We were so happy together. The same age, I am not older than him. We used to do so many things together, go everywhere. He used to contribute to the house, not too much but it was ok. And now this! 

"I have no family here in Italy. My father died. My mum is seriously sick and admitted to the hospital. I am an only child, so my son and him were my family."
