Sadio Mane married 18-year-old Aisha Tamba on Sunday, January 8, in a low-key wedding ceremony attended by only family members and close friends. l

Aisha is said to be a Hafiz of the Holy Quran. Her parents are originally from Casamance. She lived a normal life before tying the knot with Sadio,

According to media reports, she recently completed the memorization of the Holy Quran at an Islamic School in the Senegalese capital. Aisha was also an active member of a Mouride daira in her neighborhood. 

One of her oustasses revealed: "She is very religious. Sadio Mane is very lucky. He bagged a good wife from a good family."

Keur Massar, where Aisha grew up, is one of the poorest suburbs of Dakar. The area is always inundated with water in the rainy season. 

Unlike many Senegalese young women, Sadio's wife is not on any social media.
