Germany-based Gambian reggae singer and social justice activist, King Pata has strongly condemned President Adama Barrow and his government for allegedly signing a repatriation agreement with Switzerland that would speed up the expulsion of failed asylum-seekers and illegal migrants.
In a Facebook video, the outspoken musician said:" Gambia, wake up, it's time to remove Barrow and his government. Vice President Isatou Touray and Foreign Affairs Minister Tangara were here and signed a deal to get young Gambians deported".
He accused the duo of pocketing a lot of money during their visit to the Swiss capital of Bern.
"This is wickedness, and they have no jobs for these young people when they are deported. What are you going to give them?"
King Pata disclosed he was once deported by the Swiss authorities during his early days in Europe.
"They grabbed me in the streets, tied me up and deported me to The Gambia," he said
