An uncle in Latriya, West Coast Region, reportedly broke down in tears upon discovering that a shopkeeper in their neighborhood allegedly defiled his 15-year-old niece.

According to a source, the shopkeeper, who is said to be single, slept with the girl twice inside his shop. A neighbor saw him taking the girl into her bedroom and alerted the uncle.

The family took the girl to Sukuta Health Centre for examination, but the nurses advised them to report the matter to the police first. 

The source stated that when the girl admitted to being defiled, the uncle was overcome with emotion but chose not to involve the police.

However, some family friends, who were outraged and wanted the shopkeeper arrested for sleeping with a minor, reported the incident to the police via their Facebook page.
