He is unquestionably the most powerful Gambian mulatto in the country right now.
Malleh Sallah is the vice chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), a position he held for more than a decade.
According to the IEC website: “He is a graduate of political science. He served the Commission firstly as Principal Registration Officer and then Director of Operations from 1996-2001.”
It was in 2006 when former president Yahya Jammeh selected him to be the IEC’s vice chairman.
Malleh is also a well-known investor in the tourism sector. He is managing more than three hotels in the Senegambia Strip.
Reports reaching What’s On-Gambia revealed that he recently opened a new hotel called Balafong, which is already attracting Dutch tourists.
Malleh is also the co-owner of Poco Loco Restaurant – one of the most frequented restaurants in the country.
