The country’s most famous and hilarious young comedian, Kitabu Fatty is returning to TV after a long hiatus.
It comes after he rekindled his partnership with the national broadcaster, the Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS).
“Kitabu Show is ready to hit GRTS,” the comedian wrote on his Facebook page, where some of his videos garnered more than 100k views.
Unsurprisingly, his fans were delighted to have him back on their TV screens and some of them appealed to the new government led by President Adama Barrow to support Gambian comedy.
Kitabu will be joined by O Boy and other young, talented comedians in his drama group.
In an interview with What’s On-Gambia, he said: “It is great to be back, because I know fans are eager to see me back. And this time around I am bringing comedies related to social issues and more on sensitization.”
TV viewers were left dismayed a few years ago when his popular show went off air without an explanation from GRTS management.
