Popular journalist Nfally Fadera and three of his friends, including UK-based Gambian, Alasan Gent Ceesay, could be among The Gambia's most enthusiastic travellers.
The quartet are on a road trip through West Africa with their final destination being Freetown, Sierra Leone. Since starting their journey last week at Jiboro in the West Coast Region, they have visited four countries already.
Nfally, who works as a senior communications officer at the State House, disclosed on Facebook: "There’s no better way to wrap up my vacation than doing a road trip across West Africa with my brothers.
"In the days to come, we’ll be visiting several cities and towns all the way to Freetown meeting new people, experiencing new cultures and important historical places. I’ll be here to give you a blow by blow account of every bit of it."
While in Bissau, Alasan Ceesay said their trip might take them to some of West Africa's historic villages and towns like Timbuktu in Mali.
The quartet hope to inspire other young Gambians to leave their comfort zones, explore new places and cultures.
"We will be sharing one goal on this journey, which is to head towards the unknown and the unexpected, and welcoming everything that appears," said Alasan.
