Nfally Fadera must be one of the happiest young Gambians in the country right now. The most popular home-based journalist has won the prestigious British Chevening Scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in Communications Policy at the University of West Minster.
But no sooner has Nfally revealed the news on Facebook than his wall was inundated with compliments of his successive career, hard work and determination, especially from followers of his Mandinka news review podcast, Gambia Wularo Kibaro.
“A deserving award! Congratulations Mr. Fadera and all the best of luck in your studies,” wrote one Alieu Jabang,
Famous youth activist, Jimmy Hendry Nzally also shared: “Well deserved and I am so proud of you wonderful brother and a colleague Nfally Fadera for you are a rare gem of a national national/international treasure.”
While Facebook user, Salcy YaHighnez described Nfally as a role model and mentor.
Meanwhile, the award-winning journalist thanked the British Embassy in The Gambia for finding him deserving of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship.
Nfally is expected to arrive in the UK in early next month.
