OPINION: Meet the Cameroonian legal operative running the show at Justice Ministry

Mr. Kimbeng K Tah is a Cameroonian national who's now the most powerful man in the AG Chambers. He’s more powerful than even the minister. Business tycoon Abubacarr Jawara is one of his closest friends. He helps him legalize most of his shady deals.

Mr. Tah is very influential in the AG chambers. He has gained rapid promotions within less than two years from Senior State Counsel to Principal State Counsel and currently, he is the Deputy Director of Civil Litigation and International Law department.

All these happened because Mr. Tah is a close friend to the current Solicitor General Hussein Thomasi who lacks the understanding and capacity to run the office and Tah is using that to his advantage and he is doing it very well.

In fact, he was recently granted citizenship which is illegal because he did not meet the requirements for citizenship.

All the press releases from the AG chambers are written by Mr. Tah and in fact, now all press releases from the AG chambers bear Mr. Tah’s digital signature on the margin. You can confirm that in the recent press releases from the AG chambers.

The Solicitor General will minute almost every file to Mr. Tah including travel advice. He would subsequently decide who among his close allies to give the file to.

Do you remember the case of Muhammed Jawara, son of the business tycoon Basiru Jawara who was charged with murder? Guess what? The murderer is working freely thanks to Tah who manipulated the case and was rewarded.

Most of the State Counsels at the AG Chambers are not happy with the Solicitor General because of the way he is pampering Mr. Tah.

I am not jealous or trying to tarnish anybody's image but I am not happy about what is going on in the AG Chambers. Mr Tah hijacked the whole ministry.
