In an extraordinarily disturbing allegation, 24-year-old Oumie Hawa Bah has accused her brother of repeatedly raping her, starting when she was just 8 years old.

Oumie says the sickening abuse began when her half-brother started visiting their family home, alleging he used threats of violence to force himself on her and warned he would kill her if she spoke up.

 "Anytime he came to visit, he made sure to have sex with me," she recounts."He threatened he would kill me if I told anyone."

Oumie claimed her sister caught her brother in the act of raping her as a little girl and informed their mother. But she said the unimaginable then occurred - instead of protecting her, she said her mother scolded her sister. 

"My mum took me to the toilet instead of the hospital...nothing was said to my brother," she revealed.

The alleged perverted attacks continued until Oumie was 13 years old when she started fighting back. 

Now a young adult and single mother, she says she remains profoundly psychologically scarred by the trauma, unable to escape it years later. 

"Anytime I think about it, I feel depressed and

have trouble breathing. I'm dying slowly," she told What’s On - Gambia.
