Ousman Manneh made history as he incredibly became the first Gambian ever to score a goal in the German Bundesliga.

He scored the winning goal for his side, Werder Bremen in an impressive 2-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen.

Speaking to journalist after the match on Saturday, the 21-year-old said: ““I scored the winning goal in the Weserstadium against a big team like Bayer Leverkusen.

“I was so lucky to be able to get the chance because the ball came and I asked myself: ‘What should I do?’

“I just threw myself in and I was lucky to get the goal.

“The feeling is unbelievable and I don’t know how to explain it to myself.”

Born in Bakau, Ousman moved to Germany at the age of 17. He is right now the must talked about Gambian footballer in Europe.
