Over 700 people packed at Fatou Gaye’s compound in Kunkujang Keita-yaa to celebrate her. She was awarded Gambian Woman of the Year by What’s On-Gambia.
Speaking at the ceremony, Fatou Gaye thanked the Gambian leader, H.E President Jammeh for encouraging women to fully participate in nation-building.
Other speakers included Women’s Bureau Juldeh Ceesay. According to her, Fatou is an exemplary woman.
