Nollywood star, Princess Shyngle found herself facing a social media backlash last week after she posted on Instagram that Gambians are the worst people in the world.  

But she took to Instagram again on Saturday to apologize to the nation.   

"Most people know that I was just angry. Many of them messaged me to calm down. Me saying I don't want to associate with a Gambian, that is impossible. My dad and mum are Gambians," she said. 

The former actress continued: "From the bottom of my heart, I apologize. But please stop insulting me." 

Princess was under attack for closing the door on her husband, rapper Gee after less than two months of marriage.  

The couple had the shortest celebrity marriage in Gambian history.
