As the fastest female athletes, Gina Bass and Fatou Sowe are certainly among the most adorable young women in the country.

Some Gambian sports pundits described them as the young demons on the running track.

Gina, 21, and Fatou, 22, have dozens of honors under their belts. The duo recently cruised to victory at the Regional Athletic Championship held in Dakar, Senegal. Gina won the 100m event with a timing of 11.40 seconds. Behind her was Fatou in 12.05 seconds.

According to an official of the Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC), both girls set new personal bests.

Gina and Fatou are currently based in Dakar, where they are preparing to enter the international racing circuit, competing against the world’s best runners. Their potentials are considered massive and many are expecting them to make it to the Olympics soon.
