Their faces are everywhere on social media, but many Gambians don’t quite know how the Faye sisters make their money.
It’s difficult to tell how much Haddy Faye is worth, but she is without doubt one of the wealthiest young women in the country. She recently paid Wizkid sixty thousand dollars (D2.4m) to perform at the Independence Stadium.
Since Haddy started her business, Absolute Glam, her fame exploded. A few years ago, she was an unemployed senior secondary school graduate who was looking for any job available.
Her younger sister, Njillan Cena Faye owns no business. She works closely with her sister and is famous for taking photographs of herself almost every day.
Haddy’s union with Rafaat Al-Ahmar also added a slice of wealth to her pocket as the Syrian-born businessman is reportedly worth millions of dalasi.
The Faye sisters are very clever at playing the game. They are friends with everyone.
Njillan is having a commercial birthday bash on the 20th March and most of the top Gambian artists will be performing free of charge for her.
