A 24-year-old woman from Jambur has seen her marriage collapse just four days after her wedding, following a dramatic turn of events that has left the community stunned.
The wedding ceremony took place on April 5, 2026, and was attended by family members, friends, and neighbours. However, the celebrations quickly turned into controversy when, just days later, the newlywed returned to her family home with her belongings.
By April 9, 2026, her husband had decided to end the marriage after discovering that she was pregnant.
According to reports, when questioned about the pregnancy, the woman initially accused her 60-year-old stepfather. The allegation was strongly denied by her mother, who defended her husband and rejected the claim.
The matter was subsequently reported to the Farato Police Station, where CID officers opened an investigation.
During further questioning, the woman reportedly admitted that she had been in a relationship with another man prior to her marriage, and that he was responsible for the pregnancy.
Following the confession, the husband,, described as devastated by the situation, opted not to demand the return of dowry or wedding expenses and instead chose to forgive her.
