SPECIAL REPORT: Joluv Arts to celebrate first anniversary

While Gambia clocks 50 years on independence in February, one of the finest label on its soil, Joluv Arts Entertainment also reaches one year, indeed a celebration of national pride in a grand style. As part of their annual festivities of commemorating The Gambia’s Independence, Joluv Arts had laid plans of celebrating their one year anniversary on the 18th February, 2015, being exactly 50 years since the ‘peace-loving’ country amicably gained its sovereignty from the Great Britain.

For Joluv Arts Entertainment, the spirit of Independence Day is not only about The Gambia officially becoming a country but also about celebrating the musical values that the country was founded upon. This ceremonious occasion will be at Pencha Mii Hall of Paradise Suites Hotel in Senegambia.

The all-night-long event will be garnished with special performances by the label’s triangular crowd pleasers; Jali Madi, Manding Morry and Bai Babu. Information had it that the guest musicians will include, but not limited to, ST, Mighty Joe, Jalex, T-Smallz, Nova, Nyancho, Silky Chris, Abu & Fafa, Cess Ngum, Supreme Ladies, Og Log, Yusupha Ngum and Flamez Squad.

In an interview with the press, the C.E.O of Joluv Arts, Mr. Saul Sowe, describes the event as a time to cherish the label’s special successful memories and look forward to adding some new ones so as to reach its desired goal in the soonest possible time. In his flash back in terms of production, he cited that they had produced and presented two internationally structured cultural albums for two of their signed artists; Jali Madi and Manding Morry.

This, coupled with other spectacular achievements the label had registered over the past year, worth a gigantic celebration. He tonguelashed all the institutions and individuals who helped along the road he described as ‘hectic but attainable’. Also dubbed Saul Sounds, the producer promised a remarkable anniversary celebration come 18th February, 2015. He finally wished the entire Gambian populace a happy independence anniversary under the dynamic leadership of President Jammeh.
