A team representing Gambian migrants in Finland on Saturday defeated Senegal 3-1 to win the African Football League organised annually among African migrants in Finland.
The Gambian boys were presented with a trophy and souvenirs in the presence of hundreds of football enthusiasts.
In a chat with What’s On-Gambia, the team’s coach, DJ Masta Lion said: “Our slogan was "together we can do it "and it helped us to win the league.”
He added: “The team is under the Gambian Association in Finland but we have a Sub-committee managing it.”
The famous DJ disclosed that the victory celebration will be held on the 12th August in Club India House in Helsinki.
