Kanku Jagne and her sister Jabou Jagne got married on the same day and at the same time, but in different locations.

Their brother shared with What's On-Gambia: "Jabou's husband is Muahmmed Jagne, while Kanku's husband is Alh. Bakary Kijera. They both tied the knot on the same day but at different venues."

He also mentioned: "Our family hails from Wuli Foday Kunda in the Upper River Region. Kanku's husband is a cousin of ours."

He explained that Jabou married outside the family. Her husband, originally from Banjul, now resides in Busumbala in the West Coast Region.

"On behalf of our family, I want to express our pride in my sisters. I pray for their happiness as they embark on their new lives together. May Allah bless them and their marriages."

Both Kanku and Jabou had a low-key wedding attended by family and friends.
