Lamine Badgie: ”I eat only plain rice with chicken”

A Holland-based Gambian fitness coach and bodybuilder, Lamine Badgie has disclosed to What's On-Gambia that he eats only plain rice with chicken to fuel his muscles with protein and carbohydrates.

According to him, chicken is a rich source of protein, while rice provides carbohydrates and is quickly digested, making it ideal for replenishing muscle glycogen lost during workouts.

"I usually eat a small portion of rice with enough chicken," he said.

Lamine, who is expecting his first child with his South African Dutch wife, further revealed: ""For breakfast, I eat four boiled eggs, and in the evening, I take a protein shake and chicken if available. I avoid sugar, burger, shawarma, and all junk food."

He advised Gambians to avoid "unhealthy foods”,  particularly if they aim to lose weight and improve their health.

"I have clients here in Europe. In the morning, they eat three eggs with green tea (no sugar). For lunch, they take chicken breast, coffee, and nuts, and in the evening, they eat three eggs again," said Lamine.
