Senegalese TikTok sensation BB Rema, who boasts more than one million followers, has reportedly been ordered to return millions of dalasi after a shocking money scandal involving a young admirer.
The popular influencer allegedly received huge sums of money from the young man, who is said to have secretly taken funds from his businessman father in Sadaga before sending the money to her.
The drama reportedly began after the father discovered that his son had been diverting money and traced the transactions back to BB Rema. A complaint was then filed, leading to her arrest by police in Keur Massar.
Investigators allegedly found that much of the money was sent to the TikTok star through Wave transfers. Reports claim BB Rema used the funds to maintain a lavish lifestyle, including buying a new car that she showcased on social media, drawing attention from her followers.
But she was later released after repaying the funds. Reports indicated that BB Rema sold the car in order to raise part of the repayment amount.
Since news of her arrest leaked online, the once highly active TikToker has kept a low profile, with reduced activity on her account. Some followers are now speculating about whether she will deactivate her account and step away from the spotlight.
