A Germany-based Polish woman whose husband recently married a second wife in The Gambia has refused to talk to What's On-Gambia, saying she needs her husband's permission.

Agnieszka's husband, famous Pan-Africanist Pandi Maica is now a polygamist and she was among the first to congratulate him.

When we contacted Agnieszka to find out why she accepted the practice of polygamy, she responded: "Let me ask my husband first if he is okay with me answering your questions."

But in a TikTok live video on Monday, October 10, Agnieszka told her followers: "It's a little bit strange. But he is truthful and he loves me. Maybe if I see changes, I will feel bad."

She disclosed her co-wife, who lives in The Gambia, was her husband's childhood sweetheart.

"I am learning. It is very new. New and crazy. It's not easy," she said.

One of her followers, who was not happy with some of the questions Agnieszka's followers were asking her, commented: "Hey guys, don't discourage her. She chooses to be a co-wife. Let her be. Go find your own woman please."

Another wrote: "Stay positive. Some people will tell you negative comments.

Agnieszka revealed she met Paandi Maica through online dating.
