A Gambian migrant in Spain was recently arrested by Spanish police after a video surfaced of him holding firearms while threatening to kill his 27-year-old niece in The Gambia.
"Sainabou, so you insulted my mother? I will kill you, If I don't kill you, call me a liar. I am going to take your life," he told his niece.
The migrant, who might be in his early 50s, repeated several times in the video that "If I don't kill you, billahi wallahi tallai, I will not be happy. I must kill you."
A family member living in Norway disclosed to What's On-Gambia: "He had a slight misunderstanding with his niece in our family WhatsApp group and started threatening to kill her. He's a loser. Spanish police were made aware of the incident and his guns were seized.
"We have also informed the police in The Gambia about his threat to kill a Gambian living in The Gambia, which is a serious criminal offense."
According to the family member, police in Spain are still examining the video as they decide whether to charge the uncle for any crime.
