Fatu Network founder and CEO, Fatou Camara, has confessed to concocting lies about being engaged to divert public attention from fake photos of her that were making the rounds on social media.

During a chat with journalist Sheriff Bojang of the Standard Newspaper, she revealed: “That was a distraction tactic (laughs out loud). If you remember that was when a fake photo of me was making the rounds on social media."

Fatou added: "As a PR person, I had to get the people off that topic and shift them to a new one. I’m glad it worked (laughs).”

The award-winning journalist has been single since her marriage with businessman Yusupha Saidy ended. They have a son together, who lives in the USA.
