Victory or death! NPP is allegedly spending millions on campaign advertisements

The National People's Party (NPP) is allegedly spending millions to advertise President Adama Barrow's campaign on social media in an aggressive attempt to garner young supporters to win re-election on December 4.

A source, who begged for anonymity, disclosed: "I heard there is a media outlet that received a vehicle and $50,000 from a prominent businessman to promote Barrow's campaign."

The source also alleged that some media outlets already received D800, 000 each to show the president's video ads and rallies on their social media pages.

If the allegations are true, President Barrow is the first presidential candidate in Gambian history to spend millions of dalasi on campaign ads.

Meanwhile, his nomination for re-election was approved by the Independent Electoral Commission on Saturday. The president is currently in the North Bank Region, where he is expected to hold large rallies.

One of his young strategists, Ahmad Gitteh said the NPP leader is in very high spirit and will win the election on December 4.

He wrote on Facebook: "All is set right now. The man of the people is in very high spirit. We are winning and winning big."
