Which Gambian promoter gave Thione Seck counterfeit Euro notes of 50 million?

Senegalese music giant, Thione Seck, is still facing questions about counterfeit banknotes found in his house in Dakar.

The musician is refusing to name the Gambian promoter he claimed gave him counterfeit Euro notes of  fifty million Euro as advance payment to perform 100 concerts in European cities.

Thione’s house was raided by the Senegalese gendarmerie after receiving a tip. He was arrested and put behind bars.

His lawyers have since dismissed his involvement in the counterfeiting or even knowing that the money given to him by the Gambian promoter is fake.

Meanwhile, famous promoter, Waka Jagne has taken to Facebook to clear his name after being mentioned by an online media as a possible owner of the fake fifty million Euros.

He wrote: “Mr Waka Jagne is proud of his track records albeit the youthful exuberance he has gone through and will continue to partake in his chosen path despite the mongering and vilification of his persona by unethical social commentators/wannabe journalists. I will reiterate unequivocally without hesitation that I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING REGARDING THE THIONE SAGA and I therefore seize this opportunity to admonish the perpetrators of the negative press being peddled on social Media. Like me or hate me it’s a choice and a prerogative of yours but kindly give the devil his due.”
