An American gynaecologist has disclosed that wearing underwear made of lace fabric or non-breathable material can irritate the delicate skin of the vagina and cause rashes and allergic reactions.
According to Dr. Donnica Moore, the vagina like all other parts of the female body needs an occasional breath of fresh air.
The renowned gynaecologist was speaking to Health, one of America’s most-trusted health and wellness magazine with more than six million followers on Facebook among them Gambians.
Dr. Moore disclosed that wearing underwear made of non-breathable material makes it easy for heat and sweat to build up in your crotch, which boosts your risk of yeast or other type of infection.
She also explained that it’s not good to always have the lady parts locked up.
The famous gynaecologist suggested that women should take off their underwear at night and sleep naked to give the vagina a good airing.
