A Nigerian TikToker based in The Gambia is facing widespread criticism after posting a video that many viewers say appeared to promote prostitution.
The backlash began when one of her videos went viral on social media. In the clip, she claimed that a man in Farafenni had asked her to help find him a sex worker. The video quickly sparked outrage among Gambians, with many calling on authorities to deport her.
Some social media users described the content as inappropriate and harmful, while others urged stricter enforcement of laws and stronger border controls.
In response to the criticism, the TikToker, known online as Aza Mamma, issued an apology, stating that the video was intended as entertainment and denying any involvement in prostitution. Despite the apology, public reaction remained strong.
Shortly afterward, her TikTok account was deactivated, and she has not posted further content.
Reports indicate that police in Senegambia have received complaints related to the video and are looking into the matter.
