Binta Ceesay is former Justice Minister Ba Tambadou's new wife. The couple recently tied the knot in a traditional ceremony in front of their family and close friends.
Who's Binta Ceesay?
She is a former banker at Standard Chartered Bank who allegedly made millions after she was invited to participate in the sale of former president Yahya Jammeh's properties.
How and where she met Ba Tambadou is still unclear, but Gunjur Online News claimed Binta was a close friend of the former minister, who resigned in 2020 to take up an international appointment.
"Binta looks young, but she is 56 years old. Her ex-husband, I don't remember his exact name, is a former permanent secretary under Jammeh. Binta was well-known in the banking sector," said a source.
Our source added: "During Wally Seck's last appearance in the country, Binta gave him 10,000 Pound Sterling (GBP) and a custom-made red carpet."
Binta and the former justice minister, who is also a multi-millionaire, got married on the same day as her birthday. Some of their friends shared some glimpses of the wedding on social media.
