A self-proclaimed marabout with a large TikTok following in The Gambia and Senegal has been arrested by Senegalese authorities for allegedly collecting explicit videos from his female clients under false pretenses.
The suspect, 22-year-old Sheikh Ibra Seck, is accused of operating primarily online, where he presented himself as a spiritual healer.
According to multiple media reports, Sheikh Ibra allegedly instructed women seeking his help to send him videos showing their private parts, claiming it was necessary for his rituals to be effective.
One of the victims shared that Sheikh Ibra directed her to insert an egg into her private parts and record the act on video. After she complied and sent the footage, he allegedly began blackmailing her, threatening to leak the video unless she met his demands.
Several other women have come forward and given statements to the police, revealing a disturbing pattern of manipulation and exploitation.
Sheikh Ibra is currently in police custody as investigations continue. Authorities are reportedly exploring the possibility of charging him with blackmail, sexual exploitation, and other related offenses.
