In a revelation by the Janneh Commission, former President Yahya Jammeh, also known as Babili Mansa, gave a luxury property in Kololi to one of the country’s most stunning women — for free!
The woman (name withheld) reportedly received the property through the Kanilai Family Farm.
According to the Commission’s findings, the plush 750 square metre property was bought by Jammeh in April 2009 for D4 million from Mustapha Colley, who originally acquired the land through an alkalo allocation.
But the young beauty claimed the gift was given in exchange for her father’s land in Sukuta. Yet, investigators found no proof that the Sukuta property was ever officially transferred.
The Commission isn’t buying the story and has recommended that the state seize the property and auction it off as part of the assets belonging to the Kanilai Family Farm.
