Last weekend, a senior government official was reportedly seen entering a popular guest house in Brusubi accompanied by his side chick.
An eyewitness, a concerned young Gambian, reached out to What’s On-Gambia to report the incident, claiming that the official used a government vehicle for the visit.
“They keep using their official cars and wasting taxpayers’ fuel on their extra-marital affairs,” he wrote. “I live in the area and I’ve seen this man bring girls to that guest house regularly. He often parks behind the building to avoid being seen.”
Expressing frustration over the behavior, the witness added: “If they can’t be faithful to their wives, the least they could do is use private vehicles. The country is suffering, and people in power should be held accountable.”
When asked whether he managed to photograph the senior government official, he responded: “No, I couldn’t. The car was parked right by the entrance. They came out quickly and got into the vehicle before anyone could see them clearly. The windows were tinted.”
However, What’s On-Gambia conducted its own investigation and was able to confirm the identity of the official in question. He is married with two wives and several children.
