A man from Brikama is cooling his heels in police custody after being caught in a shocking act with his late brother’s 13-year-old daughter in Sanchaba Sulay Jobe.
The suspect, who regularly visited his deceased brother’s home, allegedly took advantage of moments when the girl was alone. Sources said he repeatedly lured her into the bedroom and later gave her emergency contraceptive pills to cover his tracks.
The disturbing secret came to light when the girl finally confided in her mother. In disbelief but determined to uncover the truth, the family set a trap.
The 13-year-old called her uncle and told him she was alone. Without hesitation, he reportedly took public transport from Brikama to Sanchaba Sulay Jobe to rush to the apartment.
Unbeknownst to him, the girl’s mother and other relatives were hiding inside. When the uncle allegedly entered the bedroom with the girl, the family stormed in and caught him red-handed. The confrontation was recorded as evidence.
The incident was immediately reported to Sanchaba Police Station, where the man was arrested on the spot. He remains in police custody as investigations continue and awaits trial.
