The long wait is over!
The Gambia’s first private television channel, QTV is set to have its grand launching tomorrow, 30th November 2017.
The 24-hour news and entertainment channel will be headquartered in Bijilo.
Sources revealed to What’s On-Gambia that the crew is currently being selected after the acquisition of equipment and licence to hit the Gambian broadcasting market.
QTV is already causing excitement in the country. Previously, the only TV channel in The Gambia was the national broadcaster, The Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS), which is widely deemed to be a mouthpiece for the government.
The owner of QTV, multi-millionaire Muhammed Jah is reportedly planning to have a big –ticket launch with a lot of fanfare. Prominent Gambians and senior government officials are expected to be present at the launch in Bijilo.
