Former Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service, Dr. Njogu Bah has taken steps to launch his political party.
The party, which is yet to be registered with the Independent Electoral Commission, has been named the Gambia Action Party (GAP).
A source close Dr. Bah told What’s On-Gambia: “He is currently distributing cola nuts in Jokadu and other regions in the North Bank Region. He wants his party to dominate in Jokadu and the surrounding districts.”
According to our source, a number of prominent Gambians, some of them in the Diaspora, have expressed their support for GAP.
Dr. Njogu Bah was living in the USA for many years before returning home to work in the former government. He was very close to the former president until in 2013 when he was sacked and later convicted and sentenced to a mandatory jail term of two years.
