A young woman in Bakau (name withheld) has allegedly left her husband of five years after discovering that he was deported from South Korea.
According to a source close to the now ex-husband, the woman made the decision to walk out on her marriage three weeks ago and refused to return.
"They met at Senegambia when the guy was in The Gambia on holiday some years ago. He married her after returning to Korea, where he was living," said our source.
She continued: "The guy was deported last year because of criminal charges. When the wife discovered that he would never return to Korea, she disappeared."
The ex-husband, who was sending her monthly allowance while in Korea, is now a taxi driver, living from hand to mouth.
The young woman allegedly said she can't be in a marriage with a man who struggles to make ends meet. She's now single and looking for a new man to take care of her needs.
