A group of young Gambians has formed a fan club dedicated to Baltasar Ebang Engonga, a high-ranking official from Equatorial Guinea, after his leaked sex tapes went viral on social media.

Baltasar, who allegedly had sex with multiple women, including the president’s sister, has become the focus of admiration for some young Gambians. 

The fan club was initiated by Wisdom Gaye and operates on WhatsApp, boasting dozens of young male members who admire Baltasar for his perceived sexual prowess.

Wisdom described Baltasar as "the strongest man on earth," telling What's On-Gambia, "We created the club to show solidarity with him. We hope more Gambians, especially women, will join us."

Following the scandal’s outbreak, Baltasar was dismissed from his position. Authorities in his country have since directed the telecommunications ministry, regulators, and telephone companies to limit the distribution of the tapes.
