Closing Ceremony to be held to mark the end of Camp Mania

A Closing Ceremony will be held on Friday 12th August, to mark the end of Camp Mania organized by Educating for Africa’s Future (EFAF).

Fifty five children from different backgrounds and schools participated at this year’s camp.  According to the EFAF’s executive director, Martha Njie, they were introduced to various activities such as moulding pots, learning to play the balafong, acting short plays, planting baobab trees, science experiments, poetry writing and painting.

She said: “Every summer, we help children, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to discover who they are, tap into their unique talents and realize the rewards of education.”

According to Martha, EFAF is working towards a better Gambia where all children will have access to an excellent education and the freedom to be who they want to be and realize their full potential.

Friday’s Closing Ceremony is expected to be graced by parents and members of the public. The event is scheduled to begin at 4:30PM at the Gambia Pastoral Institute along Kairaba Avenue.
