A driver has reportedly been arrested after allegedly being caught burying a juju on the premises of the Social Development Fund (SDF) headquarters.

The incident comes amid ongoing investigations into financial misconduct at the SDF, with two senior officials currently suspended over allegations of embezzlement.

According to a source, the driver was seen burying the juju beneath a stone within the office compound. Police were promptly notified, leading to his arrest.

Inscribed on the juju were the names of several high-profile individuals, including Inspector General of Police Seedy Muctar Touray, Finance Minister Seedy Keita, Central Bank Governor Buah Saidy, and several members of the SDF board.

“I believe the intention behind the juju was to influence or disrupt the ongoing corruption probe,” the source claimed.

The juju has since been taken into police custody. The driver has reportedly confessed to burying it, and the marabout responsible for preparing the juju was also said to have been arrested.
