Senegalese TV star Amina Pote has ended her marriage to Muhammed Joof in an abrupt fashion, by returning her bride price and all the wedding gifts.
She explained on her YouTube channel: “When I returned the bride price and gifts to his family, they refused to take it. They insisted I should keep them, but I told them I can’t since the marriage was not consummated. These included millions and jewelries.”
According to Amina, her former in-laws were not happy that she ended the marriage after four months.
The Senegalese star and Muhammed Joof tied the knot in August 2021 in Dakar. Some of the Senegalese celebrities that attended the wedding included musician Viviane and percussionist Mbye Dieye Faye.
Amina rubbished rumors that she was caught red-handed with another man while she was still married to Muhammed.
