There is no doubt that there has been an improvement in electricity supply in the country and this has been confirmed by The Point Newspaper.
In an editorial published on Monday, the country’s second biggest newspaper wrote: “It has been observed with satisfaction that the national electricity and water provider, NAWEC, has been doing well over the past weeks and months.”
According to The Point, the erratic and seemingly incessant load shedding has greatly reduced in Banjul, Kanifing Municipality and West Coast Region.
Prominent Journalist, NFally Fadera also confirmed that there is an improvement of power supply.
“I think they are doing well. Erratic electricity supply is no longer an issue in my area. They have improved markedly from last year when #bringbackourlight was so much trending in the country.
According to an engineer with a private firm in the country, the development may be connected to the recent drop in oil prices.
