Lawratou to represent Gambia at Miss Tourism World

23-year-old Lawaratou Camara is travelling to China today to represent The Gambia at the Miss Tourism World.

The stunning model is the second Gambian to take part in the famous beauty pageant that celebrates beauty, culture and tourism.

Established in 1991, one of the main objectives of the Miss Tourism World is to help host countries attract both domestic and international tourists, as well as foreign investment.

Lawratou was chosen to represent The Gambia by the CEO of Face of Beauty Gambia, Ida Bidwell of Biddy's Promotions.

The grand finals of the 2019 edition of the Miss Tourism World will be held in the Chinese city of Quingdao on the 6th October.

The 23-year-old will appear alongside more than 25 beauty queens from different countries including China, Australia, USA, Nigeria and Malaysia
