With assurances of more playing time for Modou Barrow at Swansea, more wives arrive.
The UK-based footballer got married to her childhood friend, Natou Secka, on Friday, 11th September, in Kanifing South. This is his second, making him the youngest celebrity polygamist.
Breaking the news on Facebook, Natou’s cousin, Oulaye Ndow Joof wrote: “My cousin, my girl, my cupcake today tied the knot with our legend, Gambian star Modou Barrow. Yalna sai b don bena beh ma c toma c barkeh yonanteh b.”
Modou’s first wife, Sanna Satang Yorke was not happy about the news. She has since deactivated her Facebook account to avoid nosy questions from friends.
A family member told What’s On-Gambia: “Modou is a betrayer. Satang was very loyal to him, even before he became a professional footballer. They are still married.”
However, other sources reveal that Modou has divorced Sanna, who’s rumoured to have used the player’s email to distribute information that the marriage with Natou was a sham.
For now, what’s clear is that things are about to get nasty between the footballer and his first wife. The couple got married in Sweden, before moving to Swansea in Wales where he is playing for the premier league team, Swansea City FC.
