Her father, Lang Conteh’s name had for long been synonymous with wealth in The Gambia and she was born with everything handed to her. But, despite the ugly twist of fortune for the father, Salma Slims continues to live her life to the fullest, in pomp and pageantry.

Unlike her father, who’s a banker, Salma chooses to walk the road less travelled by her family. She’s a rapper. But wherever she hit the jackpot, she did so with a bang.

The rapper and her American husband bought a house in Northern California city of Los Angeles, the nerve centre of American entertainment industry.

“New crib LA, bless,” Salma writes on Facebook on Sunday, captioning the photo album of the house that is worth a lot of dollars.

Besides a huge outdoor swimming pool, the home includes a basketball court and a huge garden. Salma is yet to disclose how much they bought it for.

Among the people that congratulated her is former National Assembly Member, Ramzia Diab. She writes: “Keep my room ready. Wow! Be there soon Insha Allah. Beautiful place.”
