Jiffarong Health Centre in Kiang West was recently gifted a new ambulance by the Dutch charity, Wilko Gambia Foundation.
Speaking to What’s On-Gambia, Kommer Van Trigt, a representative of the charity said: “The ambulance will be used by the midwife of the labour ward, Sarjo Sambou.”
According to him, their aim is to ensure women in Kiang West deliver their babies safely.
“We will continue to support the labour ward in Jiffarong. Our big thanks to Hon. Omar Sey, Mr. Makie Taal and Hon. Menta Njie. These three people were really of great help to us.”
