Ugandan comedian, Peng Peng Peng Vibes said he didn’t mean to disrespect Gambians or insult anyone with his recent video.
Earlier this week, Peng Peng Peng Vibes posted a video online in which he labelled Gambians as the most ignorant and primitive people in Africa.
He was responding to comedian, Baba Ja whose video on the xenophobia attacks in South Africa went viral with more than two million views on Facebook.
“A stupid man from Gambia..Gambia ..Jesus Christ, the most poorest country, ignorant people. Because he lives in America to wipe white people’s asses, he has the audacity to abuse fellow South Africans, and this idiot goes by the name Baba. Gambia, the place where every primitive person lives…” Peng Peng Peng Vibes ranted.
He claimed he killed seven Gambians living in South Africa because of Baba Ja’s video.
The Ugandan comedian made headlines, with africanspotlight.com calling him ‘leader of xenophobia.’
Speaking to What’s On-Gambia, Peng Peng Peng Vibes said the video ‘was meant to be a joke’ and it was not his intention to offend any Gambian.
“I am a comedian, blogger and entertainer. I was just imitating the gang leader concerning Baba’s video, how he would have reacted after watching it.”
Peng Peng Peng Vibes, who has more than 45,000 followers on Facebook, added: “I regretted it. I have Gambian friends that know I am just a comedian.”
