We need a street festival in the Senegambia Strip, right? Worry no more! The country's most prolific event organiser Waka J is organising a giant new cultural festival, from 23- 25 December, 2016.
To be held on the Duplex Street, the Gambia Cultural Festival (Smiling Coast edition) will be a 3-day event with live music, cultural displays and a lot more.
"The main reasons behind the festival are to help in promoting our diverse cultures, promote Gambian tourism and also, provide a platform for our musicians and traditional performers. Already, I have different stakeholders on board," said Waka J.
He added: "I am inviting everyone to come and support. It is our own."
Preparations for the festival are in high gear with many young people in entertainment expressing their willingness to volunteer during the 3-day event.
