Sheikh Gaye and his German girlfriend are on a bold and courageous mission—one that most people wouldn't even attempt.

According to Sheikh, he and his girlfriend are driving from Germany to The Gambia in their car.

"Every year, my girlfriend Maria and I fly to The Gambia for a holiday and to visit my family. But this year, we decided to do something different," he shared in a message to What's On-Gambia.

He continued, "We bought a car and are driving from Germany to The Gambia, a journey of 6,000 kilometers."

Sheikh's family and friends in The Gambia are eagerly awaiting their arrival, praying for a safe and peaceful journey.
